It was without a doubt locked up....no question. The light just flashes though. I won't be able to test it until the weekend again...I'm puzzled.

It's called the grey wire mod. I'm sure there are a ton of write ups on here about it. You should def. take a look at it

I hear the motor engage, and the locker actually engages (both wheels pull) but the light only flashes, it never goes solid.

I've got a 1996 4runner. It has the factory e-locker in it. I've done the mod that allows you to engage the locker in 2hi, 4hi, and 4lo. The locker is engaging in all modes of the transfer case, but the light on the dash doesn't ever go solid...it flashes the whole time. Any ideas what would...
