    LED Headlights

aiming So, last night I got the chance to aim my Lasfits. WOW, my headlights were totally out of whack! On a 2020 SR5 with only 30k miles! I didn't think the 2" lift would affect it that much, but it did. The top of the pattern is now at 42" high, at 25 feet from the wall. Still a little...

    LED Headlights

Yes, with just low beams. Going to look into aiming a bit lower this weekend. It could be that the 2" lift is not helping.

    LED Headlights

Thanks!! I didn't even know they could be aimed like "Old School" headlights!

    LED Headlights

I just put the Lasfit low beams in my 2020 SR5P. I love them, but I am now "That Guy" who is getting high beam flashed by a lot of oncoming traffic. Not everyone, but way more than usual.

Thoughts on Using Helicoil (in this case for Transmission Pan Bolt)

Heli Coil Just echoing what's already been said. Heli Coils are GREAT, but I would not want your first attempt to be in your transmission housing. You're good!

2016 4Runner spark plug replacement - broke emission tube stud

I did the same thing. I just bought one of these clamps from McMaster, milled a slot to clear the broken stud (you could grind, or even file this in). It's been in for over a year now, and works just fine. At 200k, I'll take everything apart and fix it for real. I'll take some pics tonight...

HELP! Cross-threaded Caliper mount bolt holes

Chaser Before you invest in a tap, you might want to try to make a chaser. Find out what size the bolt is, and the thread pitch as well. Get a new bolt, and use a round file to file a flute, like a tap has, into the bolt. You might want to do two or three flutes. Try threading this in, and...

    Would you Undercoat a 4Runner ?

This is absolutely spot on! After losing my beloved 4th gen V8 to frame rust that I lost control of, I fluid film my 2016 every year. I used to have a shop do it, but he's so busy, he won't do it while I wait any more. So, for the past three years, I just buy 6 cans at Lowe's, and do it...

M8 Bolt disaster, some help and advice needed inside...

Unless you get the extractor and drill bit pieces out, it won't matter where or on what type of drill you're drilling. Those two things are as hard, or harder than the drill you're using. You have got to chip them out somehow, or like it's been said, go with the weld a nut on technique. I...

    Transfer case fluid? Best grade?

75/140 Valvoline synthetic in the diffs. 75/90 Valvoline synthetic in the Tcase. Both done at 100k. Both will get changed again at 200k. I'll be the first to let you all know if anything changes, but I don't think it will.

    Differential fluid transfer pump?

75/90 synthetic out of squeeze bags are EVERYWHERE and will work GREAT. 75/140 synthetic out of squeeze bags works just fine in the diffs as well, I know because that's what is in mine.

    Spark Plug change problem

It is indeed a pain! I think the 11 year old does the plugs on a pre-air-injection model. Nothing to move!

    Spark Plug change problem

That drill might be just the thing. And who doesn't need another tool?! I will also look into heat! Thanks!

    Spark Plug change problem

Well, chalk this up to "things that only happen to me" but I'm sure this has happened to someone. When removing the tube between the 2ndary air valve, and the exhaust manifold to access the spark plugs on the drivers side (2016 SR5, 106K, figured it was close, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day, so...
