I've been running this setup for quite a while now. I had swapped out to an AGM battery on both my trucks and they both ran and charged great. I still have the '19 and no issues to date and my wife drives it daily. The '07 I ironically had the alternator give out on me last year with about...
Fluid is getting old and breaking down. Do a fluid exchange now while you still have life in it. Several ways to go about it.
I did a procedure like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WngXE_7vg-Q&feature=youtu.be
It's been several years and thousand miles. I used Maxlife fluid. Shudder...
Resurrecting rather creating a new post.
I'm preparing for doing the work to replace the brake booster pump assembly and accumulator. Basically I'm going to carry over the master cylinder and ABS ECU as I felt that the pump and accumulator are my issues (high current draw and more frequent...
Actually, inlet (HOT) is up top, and return (COLD) is on the bottom. This is the principle radiators. As fluid cools it condenses and settles. If the nipples are top, it doesn't really matter.
This is awesome news! I wish this was an option years ago when I did the ARB in the front of my '07 to match the TrueTrac in my rear. Can't see myself changing that out at this point.
Although, I am looking to regear my '19. Now if only a helical were available for the rear 8.2 that it has...
I had an issue once that eluded me to the point I removed the whole parking brake. I've since got it resolved and did so only by noticing the issue by accident.
Double check the backside of the hub flange (where the wheel studs pass through). For whatever reason there's a plate riveted onto...
Just did this job. This is the best write-up that I've seen covering this. Job was easy. Longest part was restoring the skid plate and letting the paint dry. If not for that I'd say that this was doable in about 30-45 minutes. Liberal application of penetrant on the bolts several days...
There is always the possibility if someone makes one. But no, you have to choose one or the other. It's been a really long time, but I do recall when I had a Jeep there was a manufacture that made an LSD that could be electronically locked. Not sure if they're still around.
Thank you for the write-up! Just inadvertently noticed the other day that the rear strap is bust. Hopefully, I have the same success as you with the bolts. Just went ahead and ordered all the hardware to minimize downtime. This is now on the to-do list along with the exhaust falling off...
Never found the diff drop to be necessary in any of my lifts. Everyone has their 2 cents on this. If your axles simply do not bind after lift it's not worth the effort. For me save the money / headache of installing.
As for as the sway bar goes, my stage 2 came with the relocation brackets...
If you have one kid at the moment, best placement is in the center. The rear facing seat should have room to fit in between the two front seats without compromising position. By the time #2 comes around, you should have #1 front facing behind the driver and #2 behind the passenger seat.
The...
Get a GM diode to replace the 7.5A Alt-S fuse. You'll gain about 1 volt. Cold start up I see anywhere around 14.8 then settles to about 14.2 - 14.4.
I've done this to my 07 & 19.
