Did some checking and you are correct. Don't know how much I'd really use that feature but does seem odd Pioneer would put in a DVD player for the NAV but not open it up to movie dvd's. Spec sheet says an external player is needed...

I was just looking at the same unit thinking that since its double-din and has separate dvd and cd slots and can handle separate iPod interface it would be perfect. $1200 on ebay isn't that bad either.

I got the same echomaster kit a few days after picking up my 2005 SE and I've been really happy with it. Had someone else install it since I was afraid to drill the bumper.

Am I going to run into problems with leaving the wiring as I did it using yellow/red wire? I'll have to search around for a wiring diagram. The rear accessory plug would probably be better since that's not something I'd ever really use. I've only had the truck for a little over a week and...

ok, here are the pics. The ground bolt I used was the one directly above and to the left of the bottom wire block. The pic isn't very good. The power wire is shown and is a decent pic. This is the very bottom block and I used the yellow/red wire which only gets accessory power.

I was one of those sold. Bought at Folsom Lake Toyota on New Years Eve. I got a galactic grey v8 sport with the basic options. Already ordered homelink and an autodimming rear-view. Very happy with it so far.

One more thing is that invoice price does not mean that's the price the dealer gets it for. Wholesale invoice can be considerably lower than the displayed invoice.
