Focal IS 690TOY Front Speakers Designed for Toyota

I added a single sub to mine and was much happier with it than without it, although these speakers do a decent job with the bass. The sub really is just there for the very low frequencies. I found the mid-bass to be fine with the 690TOYs.

I completely agree with your sound leveling comment. Whenever speakers sound best at 0 gain across all levels you know you have some good sounding speakers because you aren't having to tweak with amplifying different frequency ranges to get a somewhat decent sound. Not that these are...

How's the rake with that Toytek kit? Other pictures I've seen show a pretty low front end compared to the rear, but that looks good. Debating between the Toytek kit and a set of 2/1.5 spacers.

Anyone got a pic of BFG KO2 275/70R17 on your 4R without lift?

I hadn't looked at the Terra Grapplers as a comparison point, but I should have. That's a crazy amount heavier. Damn, now I'm reconsidering this whole thing. Vehicle has no acceleration with those Nittos as is. Hmmm....that sucks.

    The 285's come in both C and E load so you can get a lighter tire. Actually fairly close to the 265's. 265 C's: 48 lbs 265 E's: 54 lbs 275 E's: 55 lbs 285 C's: 50 lbs 285 E's: 58 lbs https://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/upload/bfgoodrich/specifications/specs-all-terrain-t-a-ko2.pdf

You can also consider 285s to avoid E-load. This is why I'm only considering 265's or 285's.

    Trd pro lift question

That does look pretty great. Was debating on the Toytec kit but worried about extra rake. This doesn’t seem that bad.

    Trd pro lift question

I could have sworn the spacers were placed outside of the strut assembly so the spring has no change. Basically just the location of where it is mounted is "lower" relative to the other suspension components. But maybe that different mounting location somehow causes it to compress more...never...

    Trd pro lift question

How do spacers impact ride quality if the suspension components are unchanged? My assumption was that ride quality would be the same as stock since the same shocks and springs are used. But maybe I’m not thinking of something.

    My exact sentiments.

    Trd pro lift question

I think at least aesthetically, it looks better with a lift when you have larger tires. Larger tires look too "stuffed" in there otherwise. But it's good to know rubbing isn't a problem as well. Thanks!

    Trd pro lift question

I have the same question. One thing I prefer about spacers is you can do 2" front, 1.5" rear to even it out a bit more as well.

I'm interested in a lift kit as well. Looks like folks are pretty happy with the Cornfeds in this thread. I definitely want to make sure I have a level stance and seeing some of the photos in this thread have helped a bunch! One thing I'm a bit unclear about though is the factory 1" raised...

I purchased the pieces individually as referenced above and installed myself. Here's a good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnfLCHx_m8M&feature=youtu.be
