To touch on the differance between an interferance, and non interferance engine.. the differance is this, In an interferance engine, the intake and exhaust valves drop deeper then top dead center (TDC) of the piston Meaning that if the timing belt broke, the pistons would ram into any open...

Not sure if this helps, since the last time I owned a 4Runner was almost 10 years ago..But..The spoiler made a HUGE differance in keeping stuff off the back window..Not having it on when I bought it, then putting it on afterwards, it was like night and day!

Yep the 4WD version I did get the X-Reas suspension.. its standard on the CDN V8 Limited models. When I test drove it I was very impressed, I drove a Sport with the X-reas with out air suspension..and liked it..just a little less. I never tried one with out the X-reas. So its hard to tell...
