It beats the 72 Ford Torino station wagon I had in high school, which had a manual crank open window, but that wagon's tailgate was way cooler, as it could fold down or swing open, depending on how you wanted to do it.

Thanks for the post, it is very informative, as my 11.5 year old lab is starting to slow and at 90 lbs she is a bit heavy to lift into the back. I think the ramp looks good, as I know she would not do the step thing.

Do you use/need the 4wd in your current 4Runner? I realize that the Limited is full-time 4wd, but do you need it?

If you only have 8-9 days, I suggest you do either Yellowstone/Teton NP or Rocky Mountain NP and not both. When I go to Yellowstone, I typically spend 7 days just driving around Yellowstone/Teton National Parks. There is just too much to see in Yellowstone to do it in a day or two...

You seem to have gotten lucky and it appears that your 4Runner is lightly damaged, I have seen deer take out the whole front end of a vehicle (grill, hood, bumper, fender, front door, etc.). My dad hit several deer over his lifetime and I was riding with him for one of those hits.
