When I purchased a rental in the past I did it through a Toyota dealership. If there were no obvious defects on examination then I would ask the dealership to make it a certified vehicle, pay the extra surcharge and have the security of a 7/100,000 Toyota warranty.

I have used the weather techs in my 4th & 5th generation and they have been awesome. Also put them in my wife's xterra and son's Hyundai. They sent free front replacements for the xterra when one of them warped. Overall I am very pleased with their protection particularly during Chicago winters!

I have great respect for all who prefer to do their own work or who choose a non Toyota tech to do do their work. However, for a non mechanically inclined chap like myself I have had great service from two Toyota dealerships here in the Chicago area. Honestly I have never had a bad experience...

Toyota care only applies to NEW vehicles purchased and only covers oil changes and tire rotations for two years or 25000 miles. All other services provided are on the owner. Just went through two days ago.

I agree with the above. I just rented a venza from avis last week while on vacation. they consider it in their suv class but clearly it is a crossover. It is a nice mom car. Drives well and spacious.

Had significant roof and hood hail damage. Body shop here in chicago did a great job (cant even tell) and insurance paid for it after deductable. You may want to run the math and see if its worth fixing assuming you have a good body shop in your area.

I found sensors more accurate and helpful then camera. However both complement each other!
