Thanks Chris - I actually called Toyota and they did the search with my VIN # and told me it was a class 2 installed. Is it just me, or does that sound wrong? The thing looks to be very sturdy, but who am I to question them? Mark

OK, so we just bought an '08 4Runner SR5 w/the V8 and I just found out the factory hitch is only a class 2. Why would they not at least use a class 3? We traded in an 05 Pathfinder that we used to tow a travel trailer (4200lb) with no problem. Does anyone know if there is a factory class 3 or...
