Gaia works pretty great via Apple CarPlay. I've been using it pretty effectively on my stock 2020 head unit, one of the larger screen aftermarket ones would probably do even better.

Today was a maintenance day on Amos, I took care of the following: Oil Change Tire Rotation Driveshaft Greasing 1/4" Strut Spacer Install Started at about 7:30am, finished by 10:30am before the Phoenix heat kicked in.

I am reluctant to do an under-hood install for similar reasons. I live in Phoenix, so the summer just sounds like a perfect recipe for a cooked compressor. The dogs ride behind the seats, so I'm still trying to figure out what location would actually work for a hard install for me. Any ideas?

I did a 2" lift on mine for similar reasons, I was hitting skids on a lot of the trails around here. I ended up doing a 2"/1" Dobinson's suspension kit on mine, just the entry level one with the twin tube shocks. I love it, the springs and shocks maintained the ride quality on our bumpy trails...

My dad has a 2012 Sierra, and the interior on that is a lot of fisher price plastic with visible (and sharp) flashing and parting lines from the molds they came out of. It is comfortable, I'll give it that.

Agreed. I like the styling on the 5th gen better, but my buddy's 4th gen has a level of quality inside that my 2020 can't touch. Surfaces like the door cards are soft, yet substantial in a way my 5th gen could only dream of.

I don't have any personal experience to add, but will be curious what suggestions are made. I'm also in the west valley and wouldn't mind finding a reliable shop that specializes in Toyotas.

I'll be posting some updates once we get it out on some trails too, really looking forward to stretching the new legs.
