I'm not sure why this thread doesn't have more posts. Such a beautiful 4Runner. I went back and read the thread from the very beginning. What tire size did you end up going with? Looks great.

Most people on here are aware of this grille option. This grille isn't compatible for those that are wanting to use the 2006-2009 headlights on the 2003-2005 4Runners. That's mostly why you are seeing people cut their 2003-2005 bumpers to fit the 2006-2009 TRD grille.

I have a 2004. But I also want to swap the factory fogs with something better. Currently looking for something that would be plug and play to the existing fog harness, could fit inside the bumper and something with a black housing. Will let you know if I find something.

No, didn't need to change the hood. The 06-09 grille bolts right up to the hood, and the 06-09 headlights have the same geometry and mounting points. The filler trim below the headlights needed to be changed and the bumper needed to be trimmed to get the grille to fit. Other than that, it's...

My guess is that you can't stop them from falling down into the cylinder. There must be a way to vacuum them up afterward?

Finally got around to doing the 06-09 grille and headlight conversion. Took a lot longer than I was anticipating, but so worth it. Looks like a completely different vehicle now! Before: New versus old headlight: New versus old grille: And the final result!

I was considering swapping my running board lights to LEDs, but now I'm having second thoughts. Is there anyway to add a bit of hot glue to the bulb holder just to make it more secure?

Not sure if anyone looked at my wiring diagram, but wanted to close the loop and let everyone know that it worked perfectly.

This thread has been so helpful. I'm hoping to do the 06-09 headlight swap on my 04 this weekend. Will also be doing the 06-09 grille swap at the same time. I'm planning to move the turn signal into the headlight housing but struggled to find any good wiring diagrams. This is my best guess...
