Thanks for the replies, guys. Pluton, that was my thinking and why I have asked this question. Lots of folks here have experienced leaking rear axles, just seeing if there were a chance it might be related to the change to synthetic. Probably not going to find enough data to make a claim one...

Spotted yesterday heading east on I90 between Park City and Billings Mt, silver 3rd gen, snorkel, Satashi grill mod, Colorado plates, and what looked like a EU license plate sticker below and to the let of the main plate. Nice rig! Sorry, no pics.

It was time for a new battery. Picked up a new Interstate and some marine clamps and got it done after work today.

Just replaced brake fluid. Old stuff wasn't bad, but want to get all the fluids changed so I have a baseline for future maintenance. Have coolant and the gear boxes left to do.

Replaced some control panel lights and the "D" light in the dash, Also installed a new (OEM) fuel filter.
