Thanks. Yep, they totaled it - sad day. It was pouring rain and a crazy scene, so I didn't really get to check it out closely the day that it happened. Later saw that there was a good bit of damage to the roof, and the adjuster said that's really what did it in. Alfa gave me $5700 for it...

... and then BAM! A tree falls on me. Son of a... First point of contact was the front drivers side pillar, and before I could get stopped it scraped all the way across the top taking the brand new OEM rack that I just put on a month ago with it. 3 seconds sooner or later and it misses...

I would say external HDDs. They've gotten considerably cheaper over the last couple of years - I've recently seen 4 & 5TB on sale for under $100.

Vinegar is also very good at removing funk. 50/50 with water in a spray bottle works wonders on my MTB shoes and helmet pads, and I always add a cup or two to the wash cycle with my workout & riding clothes. Cheap too, 2-3 bucks a gallon.

Yeah, their site is quite lame. Think I've seen them on several retailers sites as well though - Cabela's, Northern Tool, Amazon etc.

I don't have access to my manual right now, but maybe opening the door with the key also disarms it? Just a theory, have my doubts. One sure way to test: roll down the window, arm it, then give it 5 minutes or so and reach in and open the door.

How much time elapsed before you opened it with the key? As far as arming/testing while sitting in the truck, I know that there is a delay - 60 seconds maybe, says in the manual - before it actually arms after pushing the button on the fob.

Search the 3rd gen section for a Scion swap - if memory serves, some folks on here have done that. He's wanting the AUX - unless I'm missing it, that unit doesn't have one.
