I agree with the posts so far. If you go with the trail, the current asking price is on the high end imo. I agree that the new limited with full time 4 wheel would be the better choice unless you do serious off roading. It also already has the leather seats and the suspension you want.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the theft rate on 4 runners, say compared to other high theft vehicles, say a corolla? Stealing an antennae is one thing, stealing the vehicle is another? Should this be a big concern for us?

I agree with everyone who has said that nearly $30 K for a vehicle with nearly 60,000 miles is too much. I also like chevys and own a 2005 chevy trailblazer with 104K on it. It runs well and has not had many problems other than normal wear and tear. No transmission or engine problems with it...

I have the toyota runners. I had them installed about 3 weeks ago. I only sort of like them. Unless different dealers install differently, I find mine too high which makes them less useful as a step up. Secondly, the way mine are fitted in, there is only enough room for your toes to step...

I live near Chicago. I just bought a new SR5. It will be great for our area. You only use the 4WD in snow if all do is drive in the Chicago area. It is easy to put the car into 4WD. It requires a simple shift down. Hey, these are very well built vehicles. If you want a T4R do not sweat it.

The 4 runner is in my view, the best remaining mid size true suv. I like chevys and still have my 2005 trailblazer. I like this vehicle because you have 4 wheel drive, 4 low, and full-time awd at your finger tips. Plus 2 wheel drive. I do not think the pathfinder has the full time awd option...

Thanks for the responses. I do not think the heated lower windshield is standard thought, I do not have the switch, but a place for it.

I have reached 750 miles on my SR5. I noticed today that the compass was giving clearly wrong readings. I was heading east and it would say south, then when I was heading south, it read North. Has anyone had this problem? Can the compass be reset manually or will this be a dealer fix it...
