They are OEM, I'm not putting flares back on. I'm not really into the look of flares. Mine is a 99 and I believe they came off a 99 originally.

240,xxx had a go round with strawberry milkshake and I thought the trans was done. Had everything flushed and filled, haven't had any issues and that's been a few thousand miles ago.

I agree, my first thought is to do the swap because I love my runner. I just needed a second opinion. There does happen to be a nice 97 Powerstroke down the road I could buy for 5k and I could have the best of both worlds.
