I recently towed a 6x12 dual axle uhaul enclosed trailer from NC to NY and it was awful. Every bump that trailer took made the 4runner sway. I doubt I will ever tow more than that type of uhaul again with my 4runner. As much as I love this vehicle and all it's capabilities....it sucks at towing.

Glad I found my stealth on marketplace. Drove 11 hours to get it, but its in great shape, loaded with lights and I only paid $900.

No worries. I just found one on marketplace and bought it. Think I got a decent deal at $900. Came with the shovel and axe mounts as well.

So would adding a SC help this issue in the hills? I plan on towing a smaller camper into Tennessee at least semi-regularly.

I did not read every post in this thread. I was too busy putting more miles on my runner. 2014 Trail with 139K at the moment.

Thanks for the write-up. I also live in Florida and I have a 24' Cobia CC. I took it to the scales with my now sold super duty, and it was at 5340 lbs with about 3/4 tank of fuel, no ice, water or gear on it, so I won't likely be towing it much with my new to me 2014 trail. Not sure I'm keeping...

I'd be interested in that stealth if it's still available. I'll be driving through Atlanta in 3 weeks.
