Were the 03-04 models more prone? I figured they would have used the same frame throughout the entire production range from 03-09. I am currently looking at 03-04 models, if they do not have rust yet and I live in a dry, salt-free area, am I good to go?

What year, engine, drive type, and miles did it have?

Does the use it or lose it advice also apply to full time 4WD V8 4Runners? As in, do I need to put it in 4LO monthly, or am I fine using that system less than monthly since the truck is in 4HI all the time?

Is it really possible to take 4Runners in this condition (rust wise) and drive them reliably in a dry, non-salted area? Coming from a dry, non-salted area, this level of rust seems excessive. But I have no baseline as every car I've owned/driven has had zero rust. I ask because I am finding...
