Car has developed strange noise on startup. It sounds almost like a loud fan noise (whirring sound in the MAF engine area). Doesn't vary with engine RPM, is constant sound. This is the V8 engine 2WD model. It will make this noise for a minute or so, then stop. Any ideas where to begin will...

What shop did you use? Need to have a timing belt job done and looking for someplace other than dealer.

Just a thought... Do you think the ECU is tied to the anti-theft system, where the ECU and signal from the key/switch don't match?

Thanks guys for the pointers. This is an interim step for me-and I like modifying the bulbs as opposed to the harness so future options are available. Again, the "brain trust" to the rescue!!

Have seen some threads about upgrading bulbs only, specifically in projectors. Are there any suitable bulb upgrades for standard reflectors? What bulbs to use, harness mods, etc. Thanks!!

After fighting rotor problems for years on Volvo 240's, I learned I could make the rotor warping go away by using a torque wrench on the wheels. Forget about "torque sticks" dealers and tire shops use. Loosen and re-tighten to specs when you get home. You'll be amazed....

Recalibration worked like a champ. Only had the car about 3 weeks and still learning!!! Thanks to all!

2005 SR5: When I close sunroof, it doesn't automatically stop when it closes, just keeps going until it's tilted. Then have to jockey switch back and forth until it closes properly. Is this normal?? Thanks!!!
