I think it would be really more useful if you post the instructions/reply you got form the vendor rather than the group buy. The cheap cables work, getting windows to pickup the drivers is the bigger hassle. I bought one for 20 bucks on amazon and Windows 10 and a Windows 7 laptop just picked...
