Eight Facts About Warming up Your Car

I have a hard time believing that after 30 seconds, your vehicle is ready go go highway speeds. I remember hearing from my auto tech teacher, a former mechanic, that the most damage can be done to the engine when it is cold. It seems like an engine is designed to run around 210 degrees, and...

    1st time to use 4WD

Haha but you have time to mess around on the internet and ask questions. You dont have to be in the vehicle or driving it, in order to read the manual. :ybrick:

    2002 or 2004 T4R? I'm undecided

It really has to do with your budget, but its kinda a no brainer if you can afford the '04. Bigger motor, less millage generally, more room, etc etc. It is the 2nd year model of the newer generation, so it wont have issues like the '03 like ugly plastic cladding. I think you'll be much better...

    32's Need Regeared?

The reason you regear is not for your speedometer. It is for getting the proper amount of torque to move bigger tires and ability to reach proper speed. Recalibrating your speedometer is helpful, but not the reason to regear.

Shadow Mica 2008 Sport @ Boston, MA

Eskimo is just a 21 year old batch who generally is a smartass and doesn't have anything helpful to contribute. Apparently postwhoring is cool. His stuff is the exeption, and not the rule. Its not a representation of the T4R community as a whole, and should not be taken as such. Hopefully you...

    Black Limiteds.....

I think this guy's sig says it all^^^^. Get an alarm! It may be a little pricey, but if you have a smart phone, you can get a Viper that will send you a text if your alarm is set off. The glass break sensor is critical, and I also have the backup battery if the power is cut. Not to mention the...

Viper remote start, but no back window function??

This thread is full of misinformation. I have the 5901 with smartstart on my 04T4R limited, and you do NOT need a window module to roll down the back window. It generally costs extra to have that installed, since the installer will have to run wires to the rear of the vehicle. The window module...

Getting a new stereo and ...

Best Buy installers are usually pretty good. The easiest way to find out is how long they've worked there. A radio is pretty much the most simple job they do. I know because I used to to car install, now do HT install for Best Buy. I put in my screen in my '04 Limited T4r and it was a fairly...
