It really has to do with your budget, but its kinda a no brainer if you can afford the '04. Bigger motor, less millage generally, more room, etc etc. It is the 2nd year model of the newer generation, so it wont have issues like the '03 like ugly plastic cladding. I think you'll be much better...

The reason you regear is not for your speedometer. It is for getting the proper amount of torque to move bigger tires and ability to reach proper speed. Recalibrating your speedometer is helpful, but not the reason to regear.
