04 v8 here. I have a 285/70/17 Nitto Ridgegrappler on a stock rim that is deflated in the stock spare location. It rubs very slightly against the panhard bar but thats not a serious issue to me. I made no other modifications to make it fit.

So I am in the process of replacing the torn cv boot on my 2004 4Runner. While removing the outer cv from the axle to slide the new boot on, the clip that holds the cv to the axle broke. It seems like Toyota does not sell this clip. The only place I found one that looks the same is here. CV...

Just curious, have you checked your lower control arm bushings? Mine were shot and I had problems keeping it straight under hard acceleration or braking.

Rebooting can be a bit of a messy job but its pretty much the same as rebooting a honda cv axle. Same goes for the ball joint! Have some faith in your son! I'm sure if he works on Honda's all day, this should be a piece of cake!

thats a breather hose. perfectly normal. probably clips into those two clips not holding anything.

Make sure you are checking your lower control arm bushings. Those can cause a clunk too.

I ran into this issue. Had to use a torch and an air hammer to get the front filler plug off. That was not fun. Almost called it quits.

Anyone have a leveling spacer for sale?
