Surface shield by Blaster, rust control

I agree this was hard to find, until Harbor Freight started stocking it. Had the poor lady in the back looking for about 15 minutes but she finally found it. I got some wire wheel cleanup yet to do before I use it though. I have a can of Fluid Film as well that I was originally going to do as...

Does my wheel bearing need to be replaced? (video)

Well I beat the hell out of that shield. That is sort of my verification. Also when I take both brake pads out, the noise stops. So I guess I have not actual verification. I pryed on that shield and even coated in brake cleaner, it still made the noise.

Does my wheel bearing need to be replaced? (video)

Well back to update you folks. It is not my dust shield. It is my brake pad scraping against the rotor. Do you recommend trying new brake pads? Or resurface the rotor? Sometimes you hear it loud and clear other times not so much. Sorry to hijack OP's thread.

Does my wheel bearing need to be replaced? (video)

Love the search functions on this site!! So it is the dust shield? Mine is doing the exact same. I took the brake pads out, first the outside one. It still made the noise, then I took the inside out. No more noise. I was sure it was the rotor and the brake pads. So I sprayed a ton of...

    Need help rear end siezed

Well thanks guys. It was the driver side. I jacked her up and put under jack stands. Which means it was a bit higher than I had it previously. I torqued the bolts off with it up in the air thinking maybe it would break lose. No go, wheel off, went to passenger side and it spun so no need...

    Need help rear end siezed

I have tried jacking it up and manually spinning the wheels to no avail. I will smack it with a hammer and a 2X4. Then try the rev, forward and try to break it loose tonight after work. Thanks!

    Need help rear end siezed

I pulled the e-brake while my buddy got underneath he said it looked like it was engaging/disengaging. How would someone go about a frozen drum? I know about disc brakes but honestly have no experience with drums other than seeing it done when I was probably 7-8 years old.

    Need help rear end siezed

Yes exactly. Even put it in 4WD and the front tried to pull it but I did not want to stress it to much. I also put a huge tire in between the bumpers and pushed it about 6 inches with my 4Runner to see if it would break lose. I then jacked up the front, and it moves freely. Then jacked up...

    Need help rear end siezed

Ok a little background. I had the dreaded lbj failure on the passenger side. My truck a 1999 Tacoma sat for about 4 months before I got around to fixing it. I had luckily just bought a 2000 4Runner about a week before the failure. The failure itself happened backing out of my driveway onto a...

    MAF Sensor Screw

Sorry for creating a new topic but I can't find them anywhere online. I hate going to the stealership. Does anyone know where to purchase MAF sensor screws? I lost one on my 4Runner and replaced it with the one from my Tacoma since it is out of commission right now. However I plan on fixing...
