What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Sweet! I've been thinking about doing this. Are you just laying down the MLV? Update with how it sounds after! :thumb3:

    4Runner - Camping Setup

Nice setup! Those pictures make me want to camp! Do you crack a window when you sleep in the truck due to condensation?

DIY Clock replacement with outside / ambient digital temp gauge- for 15 bucks!

Hey! I performed this mod with the gauge linked by the OP, but i can't figure out the wiring to control the dimming. How did you accomplish this? Side-note: When installing mine I took the circuit board out of the gray housing it came in. This way I could use 3M double sided tape to simply...

    Bike Rack on Spare Tire?

I haven't used one of these carriers, but I've worked in a bike shop. Make sure the carrier is supple at the bike mounting points and gives sufficient clearance from the rear of you rig so it isn't swinging into anything. This racks can wear on bike frames if that's a worry of yours, mostly...

    Headlight Restoration

Recently did a restoration on my headlights. I used the Turtle drill oriented kit. For $18 and around 30 minutes of time it was a good buy. I can't comment on how long the treatment lasts though, its been only a month. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-T-240KT-Headlight-Restorer/dp/B074VXQMFL?th=1

    Fishing Rod Holder (interior)

Nice set up. Twist ties are a great thought, or possibly velcro for less wobble?

Just got a 97 SR5, would appreciate advice/feedback on basics

Hey there, I'm new to the forum too. That 4runner you picked up looks clean, nice purchase. Timmy's videos, as mentioned above, will help you in deciding to perform a job yourself or not. Otherwise, your plan of attack looks well thought out.
