Where did you get your calipers? Some rebuilt calipers are junk. Pad material will also determine your stopping power. With the larger rotors, you can install more aggressive pads since heat will be less of an issue. Agree with above posters about keeping the rear brakes adjusted up and also...

Just added rear OME 906s and new OEM 99 talls in the front, rides excellent with my fairly new 4600s. I think its safe with a 2 inch lift. If you have 200K+ miles, I would do shocks and coils at once.

I have a motorcycle hitch carrier which puts a heavy load on the stock springs and the rear 99 talls will sag with 400 lbs on the hitch. Thats where the 906s benefit me the most. I didnt buy my 4Runner new so I cant make an honest comparison on how comfortable the 906s will be vs the 99 talls...
