Thanks for the input guys. I have had the truck for the past 8 winters with temps to zero, but the issue "seems" worse than usual.
I'm going to change the gear oil again - probably going with Mobil/Redline synthetic.. Tackling the seat/bushing look fairly simple and cheap - may try that too.
