Hi MaineRunna, I can only get it to go into 4WD by manually turning the gear by hand with the actuator cover off. We do see that when the actuator gear is in the "correct" position, the indicator lights on the dash do show it's in 4WD. I confirmed this by having the 4Runner up on jack stands...
