KDSS - Is there an Aftermarket Repair Option

Looks like the Lexus and T4R actuators are compatible; gonna go ahead and order it ($350 from a junked '10 Lexus GX). I'll keep you posted how the swap out goes once the part arrives. Thanks for the tip!

KDSS - Is there an Aftermarket Repair Option

Hi, 2018 T4R owner here. Looks like my front KDSS actuator is blown- suddenly started leaning to the driver side, leaking oil, and KDSS light illuminating on the dash. I see a couple of used front hydraulic actuators for sale on eBay, but they came from Lexus donor vehicles. Do you know if they...

    Anyone heard of Camburg UCA?

I added Camburg UCAs equipped with Uniballs as part of a 3" lift I installed in my '18 TRD OffRoad. It got the silver/gray tubular steel model, not the billet. They feel and look great, with perfect wheel camber achieved. Three years riding over the dusty rocky Southern Arizona terrain, and...

Anyone use the HID Kit Pros Low Beams?

I installed this HID Kit Pros low-beam kit in my 5th gen last week. Installation is easy, they work well, and are extremely bright. So bright that any reflective traffic sign I approach with these lights on glows white even during the day. However, I regularly get flashed by oncoming traffic on...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Today I installed an LED interior light kit, LED backup lights, and HID Kit Pros headlights. Those headlights rock! Much brighter than the factory halogens.

    Best Handgun for Concealed Carry

P365 for carry I purchased a Sig P365 with an extra extended magazine and an OWB Mitch Rosen holster. That setup is great! Tiny, with huge capacity. I plink with it, and carry it regularly. Very hard to notice under a normal-fitting t-shirt, and totally invisible when wearing a flannel, or...

New Sonoran Steel Product: KDSS High Articulation/Long Travel Trac/PanHard bar

Ride height Those Radflos and custom lower links look great! How is the ride-height with the Radflo custom shocks? Is it taller, or does it offer more clearance than a 3" OME lift?

    Tilt limit

Anyone have knowledge or experience on the general tilt limit of the 4th gen? Mine has a 3" lift, currently with factory backspacing. Several times now, I've driven AZ backcountry roads where the tilt was severe enough to cause quite the nervous pucker factor. Thanks, and happy New Year! J.Y.

Hi. Another Tucsonan here. Going on any area trips in the near future? Weather's great, and I'm itching to get the ol' 4th gen back on the trail! Let me know. Best wishes, J.Y.

    New from Arizona

Welcome! Hi, nice to hear you found another good 4runner! I'm a fairly new member to this forum in Tucson. Had to make a trip up your way recently to pick up the Sonoran Steel 1.2 kit in Tempe for my first runner I bought several months ago. Can't wait for fall, and its cooler weather to hit...

    Best $6000 ever spent!

I hope you get to hit some trails soon... maybe when the weather cools back down in fall. I bet your kids enjoy that very much!

    Sonoran Steel Install

Still trying to figure out how to add images to a reply like this. Anyway, the rear sway bar is bolted to the axle at both the right and left side. The SS kit requires the installation of extension plates at these sites since the axle is dropped. The two little bolts strapping the right side of...

    Sonoran Steel Install

I managed to install the SS 1.2 kit with hardly a snag! The R side sway bar mount bolts sheared off when attempting to remove them, so I had the extension plate welded on. Other than... you're completely correct: install is very straight forward. Now for the body lift to clear the BFG tires...
