    4th Gens in the snow

Really guys, it's a 4Runner! Just squint. LOL!:biggrin1: Actually my daughter has the 4runner away at college, no snow there, only ice. Welcome to winters in NC. Hope you guys don't mind the GX, it's really a fat fluffy 4Runner. The V8 AWD is simply awesome in this weather.

TPMS reset possible on a 2006 Sport??

I just went through this on my daughters '05 4Runner and my '05 GX470. Flashing TPMS lights on both vehicles. Apparently 11 years is max lifespan on these things. Took the 4Runner to a local reputable tire shop. Replaced all 5 sensors, rebalanced tires, registered sensors to ecu... all for...

100k + Oil Changes. Conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic?

On every vehicle I've ever purchased new I use Valvoline dino oil on first oil change at 3k miles, then switch to full synthetic Mobil-1 every 4k miles. Always using OEM filters.. Motorcraft for my Fords, Toyota for my Toyota/Lexus. Never any oil related issues or leaks. So far 114k on my T4R...

Unstable on highway/Hitting sound from the right front/HELP

Sounds like the infamous Jeep straight axle Death Wobble. Can independent suspensions do it as well? Maybe tie rod ends?

    Pulling to right after alignment

Also keep in mind that if you have a brake caliper that's not releasing fully it would cause a pull to the faulty side.

Another 4LO beeping thread.. complete with stupid question!

When I was looking for a 4Runner last year I was shocked to find out the the Lexus GX470 has a true mechanical shifter to engage 4LO. I would have thought Lexus would've used the dial/button and the 4Runner would have the shifter. Go figure? The guy I bought it from had no clue what that shifter...

    Fingers crossed for my tranny

DTC is "Diagnostic Trouble Code". Basically the codes your "Check Engine" light indicates. In the Ford world we call them MIL, "Malfunction Indicator Light". You're question is a legit one. Don't be ashamed to ask, we all learn here by asking.:hello:

    Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

'05 4Runner SR5 V8, we bought new, 115k. '05 GX470 purchased last year, 145k. Both feel like new virgins now compared to some of the mileage you guys have on yours in this thread. I'm feeling better about long trips in them.

    Headrests?

If it's like my GX, the headrests are "in" the 3rd row seat back. There's a long zipper on the back, the headrests reside in there. Odds are the 4Runner would be the same way.
