It looks like a failure from the factory paint process. Have a paint shop investigate for you and go from there. I’d think it would still under warranty.

Thanks. I considered those too and think Toyota stopped selling them. I found some information about them online but they didn’t have any specifications on them. I don’t use social media so I’m limited on my choices for purchases.

I’m contemplating getting rock sliders for my non lifted trail premium model. Does that sound practical? I don’t plan on a lift either, just wanting something more when out and about. I’m retiring soon and wanted to be prepared for some adventures.

Better is subjective. I can get factory replacements for just under $200.00. Paying $500.00 or above for each side for after market seems a bit cheeky but it is your money.
