I tried that and it didnt do anything. It flashes on for a second when i first plug it in but thats all it will do.

I did a search and found you can order LED bulbs for the comp readout. Those bulbs came in today and i replaced them but they do not work? As soon as i plugged it in, it lit up but wont stay on. Any advice or is there something im missing?

Beer - I just bought a 2008 and the right bulb on the comp readout is out. Did you get the SMD led bulbs? What colors?
