Compiled: FJ Springs Lift Info for 4th gen

Daemon, sorry for the massive 3 year resurrection, but what tire size are you running in the picture you shared (included in this post) ? Can you post an update on how it's sitting? I'm asking because I am after a very similar setup on my 2006 V8 Limited, and I can't decide between the 0.85...

    2008 - V8 T4R Sport Edition - To good to be true??

Places you could additionally check for rust... Rear hitch Radiator Support Bracket (under the rad) Rear hitch is a good place to check on most cars, from what I've seen it's one of the fastest places to get rusty. The radiator support bracket seems to be a problem area on 4th gen 4runners in...

Will this exhaust work for my 97?

Short answer: yes, with minimum exhaust work. Although I would get a Flowmaster @ the same price point, many of my friends have had issues with cherrybombs. I have a Flowmaster 40 Series and love it.

    looking for fsm 97 4runner

I have the FSM for the 1996-2002 4Runners. If you have a Mac (apple) computer/laptop I can easily sent it to you via email due to a 'cloud' attachment. If you have a PC, it'll be a bit more complicated as i've tried it before and...well, it didn't work. Give me your email and I'll give it a shot.

    '98 Fuel Guage Stuck

This seems interesting, but your pics don't work (at least for me)

Folks with 32's, autos, and 4.10s step in

I have this exact setup as well. I experience the exact same things you describe when any sort of hill is involved, and it leads to some major momentum/power loss if I don't keep at the gas. I go to school in Missoula, MT, and drove to Seattle this last spring. When I was going over the pass...

    1999 Limited "Forerunner" Build

What gave you the idea for that mounting position/location? I can honestly say I've never seen lights mounted like that before...I'm assuming they go to a switch and aren't tied into the reverse lights.

    Buff build

Looks like a lot of work, probably more than I would do. I would probably go et a body from another, less rusted 4runner and swap it, but your work looks solid as well, just more tedious and metalworking skill intensive. Anyway, well done so far, looks good. Have you fixed any parts of your...

    Noisy sunroof

I have the same black bar that pops up when I open mine as well, but I can't attest to how noisy it is due to me having a Weathertech sunroof shield/windblocker thing. I would assume it's there to assist in preventing the wind from coming into the cabin through the sunroof or even just to aid in...

    Bent Rim?

Lug centric adapters...haha I know pretty much nothing about the specifics of wheel balancing or related topics. Other than they spin it and figure stuff out from there...but if you bent a rim that bad and had little to no vibration in the rear, it makes me think that the rim is not the issue at...

    Bent Rim?

Damn, this is actually good to know. These tires kind of have a 'cult' following in general, especially on this forum, so it's almost nice to hear something contradicting that. I didn't even hesitate when buying them due to all the positive things I heard, but maybe the Road Force will prove me...

    Bent Rim?

This...is an idea. Quick and easy too. I'll hopefully do this sometime in the near future for sure. As for your comment about Duratrac's, I agree. I wouldn't think they would do that.

    Bent Rim?

Yeah, mine isn't that bent but I know for sure it is. It was just weird to me that they can't really balance a bent rim to any precise level and yet they just kind of threw it on the back and called it good. You just replaced the rim then, I'm assuming?
