Thank guys for all the info. I just pick up a 2000 runner w/185k and i don't know the true service history. So question is, is there a point where its better; to not mess with it, drain at the radiator /add fresh oil, or drop the pan and change filter, oil all the good stuff.

2000 limited $3000 185k really clean for chicago just completed oem timing kit w/pump denso radiator ngk plugs and wires optima bat. need to rebuild rear-end seals/bearing, brakes lift armor bumpers beadlocks tires when does it end.....

I just pick up a 2000 here in ILLinois and was goin over it and noticed nearly every weld on the frame is rusted, elsewhere okay. Just began applying POR-15 the stuff is crazy. Three part process, but in the end i don't think there is anything stronger. Not cheap though. Just watch out as this...
