FINALLY, the stars aligned and I found the time to get an NC license plate for my 4Runner. Now I can start driving it around instead of looking at it parked in the yard! Yahoo!!! :biggrin1:

That does look good! It would appear to be durable too. My tailgate panel is in very good condition, but the internals rattle like crazy. It's somewhat distracting. :dizzy: How is this material soundwise? Does it dampen sound or amplify them?
You could be right RAD. Some internet searching seems to indicate that it could have something to do with a worn or loose cable. As long as I can still open and close the hood, I'm good for now. It is annoying though and I do plan to look into it. I'll be glad when I can start my own progress...

Thanks! I am definitely a fan of the stock look. I want to do a few, small upgrades in order to improve comfort/drivability, but that's it.
The interior is 99% percent intact and I plan to keep it that way (right down to the stock radio). I would like to upgrade to an SR5 gauge cluster though.
Thanks! It's definitely the nicest Toyota that I've ever owned. It's not flawless, but it still gets a look or two whenever I'm driving around and there are just enough minor imperfections to keep me busy for a while! :thumb:
Also, I forgot about this! My 4Runner was missing the b-pillar badges, so I replaced them with a pair of nice looking replicas that I purchased off of eBay. They really help bring the look together IMO.

Today, I pulled my 4Runner under the carport and replaced a leaking transfer case output shaft seal. I'm definitely not a mechanic, so I hope that everything checks out when I examine it tomorrow. *fingers crossed*
