Nice 4runner, when was the timing belt last changed?

It will flash until locks in, then the light will be solid.

I ran the same setup on my 2002 Tacoma with no wheel spacers and didn't have a problem.

I would check the front and rear drain tubes first and make sure the water is draining out of the channel.

Another vote for Spectre premium. A few months ago I installed one in my 99 4runner. It fit great and appeared to be as good as stock. I bought it from Rockauto, and the first one came with one of the radiator line nipples bent due to the packaging, so they sent me a replacement the next day.

Just reading your post, it may not be so jerky and sway side to side if you put your sway bar back on and possibly replace sway bar bushings and end links.

There is an o-ring gasket on the distributor which most likely needs replacing. The distributor needs to be removed to do this. There are write ups on this forum how to do this.

Problem solved, AAA, took him 15 seconds with a slim jim.

I did try sliding the topper windows, but there isn't any slack in them and I am trying really not to break anything. I will try a slim jim today after work.

I have already tried that, my son also has an 85 4runner and I tried his keys, and they didn't work in any of the doors.

I have an 85 4runner and I locked my keys in it. They are sitting on the seat on the key ring with other keys. I have been trying a wedge and a bent coathanger but with the flat lock/unlock button there is nothing to grab onto. any tricks or suggestions would be helpful.
