Starting Fresh (new 4Runner, first build) Hey y'all, I'm Bruce. Been lurking here awhile gathering information/ideas on what I want to do with my 4Runner, but figure it's about time to post them up! I've been in NC for 25 years, with brief spurts in Montana and now Colorado (Denver area)...

Spent 14.9k on an '07 Red Limited V8 4wd w/141k on it. Guessing I'll end up paying ~1.1k to catch it up on repairs, so call it 16k. Seems I paid a bit much compared to a lot of y'all, but when you're picky about what you want and have less than a month to find one..

Heh, I know how that is...and yep! 141k and I paid 14.9k. It has a small dent on the back right bumper and he didn't know if the timing belt (belts for V8, chains for V6) had been changed so I got him down from 15.9k. Not a spectacular deal (at least until I know if I have to spend $850ish on...

I bought mine! Second 4Runner, first in my name :thumb: Heading to the shop tomorrow to see if there's anything I missed. Drove it back from NW of Knoxville all the way to Raleigh yesterday (a 19 hour odyssey), everything seems good so far :D

I can definitely see what you're saying with the front on the 4 vs the 4.5...though the kinda-sorta-CRVish look of the 4 is a turnoff personally. Grille of the 4.5 with everything else up from using the 4?

Not finding the '06-09 4wd V8 I want 'round here almost had me wanting to consider a V6...until now. There goes that hesitation ;) V8 it is.
