Will the vehicle still throw codes (at the emissions inspection station) if the CEL is off?

well as of right now, the CEL is off. I reset the computer. Just need to be able to pass emissions haha. im hoping it doesn't come back on. or else this guy is going to have to find a new vehicle.

need some help guys. took the 4runner to the firestone place to get all new shocks. they said they'd put the cornfed 1" front spacers on for free. ends up they couldn't do it because the stock shock wouldn't work with it. what's up with that?:rant:

stock springs with 224k on them... just got new shocks put in. im gonna go with stiff and strong still. shocks make a big difference!
