When I had mine fixed on my '08 4runner the glass company said they had to pop off the plastic covers on the front of the roof rack unbolt the rack slide the trim underneath and then torque down. Been 1 year in weather extremes of +35C to -40C. No problems.

-40 my stereo has always worked. Now the LCD display is slow until it warms up but the function works!

Compustar. It locks and unlocks regardless of engine running or not. I am not sure what avital is but seriously there is a reason Compustar was Mercedes OEM remote start in North America. I've had my fob since 2008 no problems.

Go aftermarket like Compustar. Way more features and it doesn't turn off when you open the door!

Sorry about that I edited my previous post. My other vehicle BMW uses hydraulic fluid in PS which had me confused. On my 2001 Corolla it had a TSB change in northern Canada from Toyota P/S Fluid (Clear fluid) to ATF Dex-3 (of course red). The transmission fluid handled extreme cold better...

ATF. In some older Toyota's that ran Toyota Power Steering fluid there was a running change to allow the use of ATF Dex-3 in cold climates. For the 4th Gen 4Runner a good quality ATF is all you need!

In Canada our dealerships are supplied with this information about replacing the shocks in pairs but that you but no requirement to replace the central dampener or metal tubing. Only speaks of having the rear axle supported when on the lift to ensure wheels are at "normal rebound" to ensure...
