Good to know. But what difference would it make driving it for 1 mi or 10 mi in 4WD? Just to get certain transfer case/front diff gears lubricated?
With these trucks, the issue always seems to be the transfer case actuator itself.
Yes you could but it's not about how long you leave it in 4H or 4L, it's about just actuating the actuator. I'll literally engage 4L pulling out of a parking spot and go back into 2WD before pulling out onto the street and I'll be good.
Lots of info here but I'm looking for about .75-1" of lift only on the rear as I already have OME on the front. Should I look for 07-09 FJ rears or any FJ rears could do?
I know there's a myriad of places to rotors and pads for this truck but I'm trying to determine what people have gotten for bang for the buck. I rarely drive hills so I don't need any performance pads but I also don't want to get the cheapest of cheap stuff that'll warp after 5000 mi.
Any synthetic 5W30 will get your engine to a million miles with proper OCI. Debating oil brands tends to largely be a waste of time. More important factors are ensuring your oil level is maintained. These engines are not highly stressed and we don't drive these engines at redline constantly (I...
I have OME 883 on the front of my V6. What's the most conservative OME spring for the rear? I'd like an inch of lift. Right now it's level but then it reverse rakes when I load up the rear with people or cargo.
