    Dealership costs????

I work in a Lexus dealer and our labor rate is $149/hr. Depending on your location (I'm in the midwest) that could be right on the money for 10 hours of labor.

Installed OEM hitch - did I screw this up?

I hate to revive a thread so old, but figured someone might be able to use this information. For the record, I work at a Toyota/Lexus dealer and have access to an internal accessory guide. PT228-89440 is for 2003-2005 V8 4Runners, and requires center support bracket 08925-35850. PT228-89460...

Transfer Case Actuator Leak - Fix OPTIONS & Thoughts

He may have heard that method from someone doing an actuator o-ring on a GX470.

Anyone taken any long road trips?

The hotel I was staying at didn’t have any sports channels that they were playing on, so I had to call around to various sports bars to make sure they had the channel and would put it on LOL.

Anyone taken any long road trips?

Well, I'm no help, because the farthest I've taken my low mileage 4R is 1.5 hours. But I can say, College Station is a fun town. I went to a small town right outside of there for work, and went into town to watch a few Blues games during that week. Enjoy it!

What did you do with your 4runner today?

I'm visiting a buddy this weekend who's into 4x4's with me. I'll have him take some pictures at the closest possible rub spots. My guess (only having seen them pointed straight ahead) is you can probably get away with the 80 series tire. I kind of wanted an 80, but in the Suspension FAQ...

Help me understand why my new 06 sport’s suspension looks so raked

That's also what I was thinking. When I swapped my suspension out, the car only had 75,000mi and all 4 shocks were leaking, 1 or 2 were clunking.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Yes, I have an OME suspension lift. I don't remember the exact spring numbers but it's a 3/2 lift. For the rear coils I have the Toytec RCC though.

Help me understand why my new 06 sport’s suspension looks so raked

The replacement shocks come with about 10" of hose/tubing with some type of union joint on the end. It's as simple as loosening a jam nut, and separating the union joint. When I replaced my XREAS with OME, I took the components off separately.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got my A/T's installed today. Not the most aggressive, but at $100/tire cheaper than the BFG's I wanted, and some good reviews on this forum, I'm good with giving them a try. Went with 255/75/17 pizza cutters, and they fill in the wheel wells quite nicely compared to the stock size H/T's I...

    Tom's overland build

When I talked to a guy at Spidertrax he informed me that the small size you can do is 1.25." Anything smaller and the studs on the hub would hit the wheel. I put the 1.25" on mine and I thought it would be too much but it is perfect.

4th Gen specific for sale thread

It does fit XREAS, I just have leaky shocks so I am killing two birds with one stone - lift and shock replacement - and don't need the spacers. Click the link, at the bottom of the text you can see it says all lift kits will fit models with or without XREAS. Burtman Industries

    Broken piece on headlights

Since they're brand new, I would definitely hound FedEx about the box. Toyota is kind of specific about their boxes. If there is damage, and they can reasonably fix it, they even put a "certification sticker." God forbid they get dealer returned parts back in a messed up box though. Anyway...
