    Lower Control Arm Replacements?

Just realized I never posted my update on this. I ended up going with cheap eBay arms with a "lifetime warranty"; similar to the link a few pages back. The quality seemed fine when I got them. I did them one year ago and have since driven about 22k miles. So far they are holding up fine. My...

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

I didn't do a write-up but it's pretty straightforward. With the 1/2" spacer lift you don't need to replace any hardware with longer bolts. It helps to have a second person with a wrench or socket when reinstalling the bolts. With the off roading I have done I never NEEDED a locker as the...

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

They're holding up great. I plan cleaning them up and using POR15 after they got a little rusty over the years, just gotta find the time. They're solid and can definitely be used as a jacking point. I don't have a Hi-Lift jack so I don't regularly use them to jack up the truck but I have in the...

    Inner tie rod replacement

There's nothing wrong with Moog IMO; they are an OEM supplier for Toyota and many other brands. I use Moog for most suspension components (especially ball joints and tie rods). There are many sketchy brands but Moog is not one of them.

Need Cam Bolts and Sleeves? - OEM Part #s

I used the SPC cam bolt kit and have no issues. Got them from Toytec.

    FS: 4th gen 3" Toytec/Eibach front coilovers - $125

Hey everyone, I went with the Toytec BOSS coilovers so I don't need these anymore. They need new top hats/top plates because one of the studs on each spun and needed to be cut. Other than that, they are in great shape (could use paint or powdercoat for aesthetic reasons). About 50k miles on...

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

Ended up going with eBay LCAs which appeared to be good quality. I guess time will tell. I needed a grinder to cut off the old seized cams which was a nightmare. The sawzall wasn't even close to powerful enough. I rebuilt the whole front end, pics will be up soon (eventually) I believe I got...

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

I've had the UCAs for almost 4 years now and about 50k miles. And yeah stock LCAs. I've been told during an alignment a couples years ago that the cam bolts were seized but I haven't done anything about it yet. I need to do the lower ball joints too so I'll take care of it all at once when the...

Bumping an old post here, but anyone know the deal with this truck? I just saw it in New Jersey yesterday.

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

Not yet! I actually had it in the dash for the first 6 months and finally got a ticket from a cop who was looking for that sort of thing. He also gave me a ticket for my window tint (first and only ticket in 3 years). It's been 7 or 8 months since then and so far no issues. I looked up the law...

    NJshadow93's 2006 SR5 Build

Yeah so far I've been there with guys that know the area pretty well, and even then we found ourselves in a couple crazy situations. It's far from me and there's other places I'd rather go that are less messy lol
