Pikeman Thanks for the reply. Follow up question: The hitch bolts to the bottom of the frame rails. Is there a bracket which bolts to the top of the frame then wraps around the side then under the hitch as well? Regards Jim

Anyone know the thread size & pitch for the two nuts welded in the frame box for mounting a factory receiver hitch on a '98 4-Runner? Based on trying new bolts it does not seen to be either M12 x 1.75 coarse or M12 x 1.25 extra-fine. Fastenal shows an M12 x 1.5 fine but I do not have one to...
