How about the 255/75r17 tires? I've been reading some good things about them. The Goodyear Silent Armors look to be reasonably priced in that size. Do the 255/75r17 tires have rubbing issues as well? Other issues I should be concerned about going to this size?

Will the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S size 265/70R17 fit my 2006 SR5 that doesn't have any lift without rubbing? I'm told that some tire profiles will rub and some won't? Does anyone have any experience with these tires?

The sound I'm hearing is definitely not related to the air conditioner. I've made sure it is off and not set to "auto".

I'm sure I have plenty of oil and the oil isn't dirty. I just changed the oil. I used Mobil 1, 5w30 and a Mobil 1 filter. Now that you mention it though, I don't remember it making this sound before the oil change, so maybe it is related to the filter. I have some factory filters in the garage...

I've noticed the 2006 V8 SR5 I purchased a few weeks ago makes a sort of loud clicking sound when started cold. It is barely audible when in park or neutral, but gets loud when I put it in gear. It goes away after driving a short distance. I'm trying to figure out if I might have piston slap...

I noticed the exact same noise in my 2006 V8. It only happens when I put it in gear and stops after driving just a short distance. Have you found a cause/solution? ETA: Sorry, I didn't realize this post thread was so old.

My mistake. It does need to be silver. For some reason I was thinking that portion of my 4runner was black. My guess is that they are all silver? :shrug:

Mine is missing the cover too, does anyone have a source for these besides going to a dealer? I need a black one.

In other vehicles I've owned there has been a little circular flap you push the neck of the gas pump through when you fill up. This appears to be missing or broken off in my 06 SR5. Should I be concerned? Fixed under warranty?

I just purchased my first 4Runner, a 2006 SR5 V8 and I'm new to the forums. Yesterday I was looking underneath and found that one of the skid plate bolts wasn't turned in all the way. I went to tighten it down and found it to be stripped. Where can I get a replacement bolt? Is there anyplace...
