Thanks, I managed to get it in, but it seems some of the rubber on the edge of the seal tore off in the process so it's leaking from between it and the housing now.
Gonna grab another tonight and do a better job prepping the seal.
Is it better to do some black RTV or just grease it to drive...
Do you guys happen to know how far in the rear diff (8") pinion seal is supposed to seat?

I've gotten it in about this far and don't want to trash it by pounding it any harder, but it doesn't seem to want to go in further. Roughly 1/8" still sticking...
