Anyone ran a thinner cometic head gasket to bump up the compression and get a few extra ponies. This used to be good for 10-15hp or so on a v8 and it’s free when changing the heads or a rebuild.
I’ve seen these for cheap like $9000 clean in Bay Area when original owners or families get a new car they just dump them.
What are you planning on doing to address the exhaust manifold cracking issue ? Long tube thorleys?
I recommend registering in a no. Smog county to avoid this. (Smog on transfer technically) then you can just use any standard car. You’re complying emissions wise but not for the bureaucracy. They want their “approved” cat. Sorry you had to deal with thisx
