Thanks all. I went ahead and ordered a carrier. I will try it out with my current hitch receiver. If I am uncomfortable with the setup, I'll wait till I get a Hidden-Hitch or similar installed before using.

Where can I get the kit to complete the install for XM radio on my stock head unit? I have the non-JBL sat ready unit. I called my toyota dealer and he said the needed accessory has been discontinued. Thanks.
