You would need wheel spacers IOT clear the UCAs if you went with 285 (and some trimming). I've heard nothing but good things about the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Agressive looking AT, mountain snowflake rated, very quiet on the road and getting good reviews off road. I'll be going with...

255/75/17 are not as wide as the 265/70/17, but are taller (about 32"). Plenty of guys are running 255 BFG MTs on their rigs with a 3" lift. And some are running 34's with a 3" susp and 1.5 BL. Wheel spacers can give the tire more clearance from the UCA.

275's on stock suspension Photog on toyota120 is running 275/70/17 Silent Armors and had them on before the OME lift. http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2215 Probably some trimming involved, but they fit w/o a lift.
