From advance auto you can get monroe quick struts for about 90 a piece, rear monroe sensa trac shocks about 30 a piece and new moog rear coil springs for about 40 bucks. Use coupon code a123 i believe. You can even pay with paypal. I just did all this to my 01... Even though the components...
On my 01 i installed Monroe quick struts. Moog rear coils and Monroe sensa tracs. Raised my truck about 1.5 in or so all around and rides great after alignment.
I have replaced the rotors and pads twice on mine and never bled or removed calipers. My rotors just fall off once i loosen the caliper bolts. Very easy to do bro. Make sure you have a cheater bar for the caliper bolts.
Best part is the quick struts are a breeze to install and i paid about 85 a piece after discount. 36 bucks for moog springs after discount and 30 bucks a piece for monroe sensa trac shocks after discount. 266 total. Oh and 55 for an alignment.
I didn't take a before pic but here is an after. I replaced the struts, shocks, brakes, rear coils, bushings etc. Another member here wanted to see a pic. I know these components claim stock ride height but my truck sits much higher. Prob 1.5 inch or more.
I just did the following to my 4runner with stock suspension.
New Monroe quick struts up front (preassembled with springs)
New Moog springs with monroe sensa track shocks in the rear.
This lifted my truck a good 1.5 inches + all around.
I did all but I think two top on the drivers side without removing anything and mine were way loose and leaking a bit. I need to degrease the motor today and then keep an eye out.
I cleaned my maf sensor with maf cleaner and cranked it up without plugging it back in. All three lights came on. I disconnected the batt, plugged it back in and cranked it up and all was good.
