I've found the engine has the power it's just you have to get the revs up. My trans shifts fine, maybe try another one.

Great question! In my younger days I had SUV's back before they became so popular (S10 blazer & Isuzu trooper). As I got older, I switched to trucks. Like you, I rarely use the truck bed. I've recently picked up a 2016 TE and keep asking myself why I kept driving trucks for all these years...

We're in the gulf states Toyota territory, so no KDSS here (unfortunately) as standard equipment. It's an option and not in the typical allocation. I could have went to Kansas & got it there as standard. I don't get the whole KDSS in some regions but not others. The T4R is pretty sweet...

Installed the canvasback in the cargo area with optional flap to protect the bumper from big dogs paws!!
