    Front axle play in knuckle?

I haven't checked it yet. I want to get another axle and nut so if it's stripped I can replace it then and there.

    Front axle play in knuckle?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to diagnose a small clunk in the suspension. New suspension in October of 2023 - shocks, LCAs, UCAs, tie rod ends, sway bar links. Also ECGS front bushing, front calipers, pads, rotors, and a few miscellaneous things. Truck drove and sounded perfect until . . . New...

    Slip yokes took 15 pumps of grease . . . ?

I've read that, what Grug556 said above, and Toyota say they don't lubricate them. Good thing I grew up in a dysfunctional house, I'm used to conflicting information and having to figure it out myself.

    Slip yokes took 15 pumps of grease . . . ?

I'm guessing I'm in the same boat. I'm hoping that it's the lack of grease that caused the joint to stick in the cold weather and made the u-joints bind.

    Slip yokes took 15 pumps of grease . . . ?

Thanks for that, pretty interesting. I did not see anything come out, and the car was owned by someone in Southern USA (great, no rust) and only serviced at the Toyota dealer - where it seems they don't lube the drive shaft. I wonder if the driveshaft should be disassembled to make sure it's...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

This "what did you do" needs a lot more volume. Great to hear.

    Slip yokes took 15 pumps of grease . . . ?

Today in MA it was 20F/-18C, and on the way to the gym before dawn, I got a pretty loud and harsh sound coming from the driveline (at least it sounded and felt like the driveline). It was the first time I drove this vehicle in weather that cold. I had driven about a mile before the noise...

    Brake calipers

I searched around and went with NAPA, of all places. Available, decently priced, "lifetime" warranty or something like that, work flawlessly.

This is more along the lines of what my 4Runner did to me this weekend . . .

    Battle Born Off Road experiences?

Thank you very much for that list. I just ordered Bilstein 5100's from "Exit Offroad" in FL. Mike was recommended by a bunch of people in another 4Runner forum, and he picked up the phone, answered my questions and so I ordered. Let's hope it's a success story. Thanks again.

    Battle Born Off Road experiences?

Ugh. I'm sat at my desk right now trying to find a place to order a 5100 assembled kit, and I had the Battle website open. I'm new to the Toyota 4Runner world, and it sucks to try to figure out who the good suppliers are.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Brakes, plugs and oil Going through a new-to-me 2010 SR5 4WD. Spent most of its life down south, now it's in NE. Oil and plugs - is it really supposed to be this easy? Replaced pads, rotors (Toyota), front calipers (NAPA reman), flushed the fluid. But I suspect the master or booster because...
