Thanks for the reply. I scrubbed it clean and it doesn't smoke now, of course, but I guess we'll see how long it takes for it to build up again. I'll take it in unless replacing the valve cover gasket is easy DIY. Does the oil buildup along the engine (above the splotch, on the bolts etc) look...
